So this past week we kicked off a year-long project where I work that basically consisted of a team between me and a coworker. My coworker was deemed technical lead for the project (rightfully so since this is version 2.0 of essentially his 1.0 version of software), and I'm basically the lead developer. Sounds great!
Except, he just put his two week notice in last Monday

So... I just became technical lead for a year-long software project, and now we get to find someone new to bring into the project that I then get to train.
It does suck that my coworker is moving on, but hey, he's doing what's best for him, and I definitely wish him the best at his new company

On the plus side, this is a fantastic opportunity for me to step up and take the new challenge head on. Definitely looking forward to this!

On the down side, this means my free time is going to drop by a lot. And since my free time has a direct correlation to my art, it means my time to draw to going to drop by a lot...
I'll still be working on the same projects, and I'd like to still keep submitting various sketches, but just don't expect any high-quality works from me for the time being

Unless, of course, I get a commission

*wink wink*

In other news, school's back in session here in Texas. Which, of course, means my drive to work SUCKS HORRIBLY... *sniffle* I'll miss you summer for your short drives to work and little stress on the road... *sobs uncontrollably*
Best of luck to everyone who just started back up with school!
